Do you know why music is the greatest form of art? Because it’s the only one that allows your average individual to open up in any way they want. Lil JC, a passionate musician that loves expressing his emotions to the world, has decided to use the power of music to his advantage in “Break Time.”
“Break Time” is very somber (I wiped about nineteen tears from my face while listening to it). With the track featuring an instrumental that is beyond mawkish, Lil JC lets his emotions loose, singing passionately about having a broken heart over the fractured relationship he has with his high school sweetheart. Though our hero’s situation is something everyone goes through at least once in their life, I believe the way he tries to piece his convoluted thoughts together through truly intricate lyrics is beyond impressive.
I’m rooting for you and your girl to get back together, JC! If you don’t get back with her, you should shoot your shot at Megan Thee Stallion (I heard she’s single now).
