Matthew Austin Hunt Sings About His Former Love On “Bye London Bye”

BYE LONDON BYE

Matthew Austin Hunt

OVERALL RATING (?????)

Matthew Austin Hunt lets both his heart and his guitar bleed on “Bye London Bye.’

Matthew Austin Hunt has music in his blood. At the age of 7, his grandfather, a recording artist in the late 1940s, gave him his first guitar; since then, he hasn’t looked back. These days, Hunt is finishing up his first full-length album. On it, you should expect to hear heartfelt, polished, and relatable music. One of the first singles off of the album is “Bye London Bye.”

“Bye London Bye” is very beautiful. For starters, the song is powered by this guitar-heavy instrumental that is beyond intoxicating. Over it, Matthew opens up about finding irreplaceable love in London. While you’re going to agree with me that “Bye London Bye” is a gem that never lacks passion, you can’t ignore how, musically, the song doesn’t have a single flaw in its bone.
