Long ago, Wiz Khalifa could do no wrong. He was making classic mixtapes, smashing models, and smoking the best weed on this planet. Nowadays, he is a bit of an afterthought when you think about the hottest rappers in the game. Today, Wiz decided to drop “Slim Peter” — a short but sweet banger in which he reminds folks that he is still better than your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.
First and foremost, I must say this: I love the beat that powers “Slim Peter.” Statik Selektah definitely hooked Wiz Khalifa up with some debonair heat. Speaking of Wiz, I thought he put up one of his best rap performances to-date on this song. Not only does he come across like a self-made boss that isn’t scared to throw hands with you lyrically, but he also blesses us with flows that are impregnable and punchlines that are indubitable. All in all, I put tons of respect on Wiz Khalifa’s name after listening to this joint.
