FACING LOVE
Emmitt Dupree
OVERALL RATING ( ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ )
Emmitt Dupree’s talent continues to impress on “Facing Love,” showing off fire bars and well-crafted execution.
From a young age, Arizona based hip hop artist Emmitt Dupree was singing and writing spoken word poetry. He later transitioned to rapping, crafting his music with thoughtful precision. His latest single, “Facing Love,” is a solid, well-paced banger that shows off Dupree’s sharp lyrical skills. The track uses metaphors to compare the similarities of being in love to smoking up. Catchy melodies flow smoothly with the lyrics and give off a very laidback R&B vibe.
Dupree takes his work seriously and clearly shapes everything from lyrics, beats, and execution with well-thought-out care. His past work has covered important and often ignored topics like domestic violence. According to a recent podcast interview, the self-defined “Rap Blues” artist’s musical inspirations include Kid Cudi, Kanye, Andre 3000, and Kendrick, who Dupree says is probably his strongest inspiration currently. Dupree clearly resonates with more of the “old school” generation and admires those that share his well-refined work ethic. His latest single will please fans and definitely create some new ones as well!
