I was lucky enough to be alive when Young Money had Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj signed under their rookie contracts. Nowadays, they are all major rappers that probably add golden nuggets to their salads. Well, the good news is this: Today, a brand new track called “Seeing Green” featuring the trio hit streaming services, and trust me, it is as epic as you think it is.
Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj play zero games in “Seeing Green.” To be more specific, the three rappers bless us with crispy flows, crazy-good punchlines (That Putin/Russian line by Drake was very damn dope), and lyrics that will make you realize how successful and great they are. The song also features a riveting beat that clearly read the room.
If I were to rank the three verses, it goes like this: Drake had the best verse, Lil Wayne had the second-best verse, and Nicki Minaj had the third-best verse (I had to dock her some points for saying “b*tches are my sons” for the 100th time).
This song is so good, I can’t even tell when it was created…
