LYNZI is a rock/pop songwriter, singer, and music producer who is based in LA. According to her Spotify bio, her goal in life is to “impact generations of people who need a friend. I hope you find that friend in my lyrics, in my melodies, and in the passion, I leave behind in my art.” LYNZI is also a part of Mercury & the Architects, a Rock n’ Roll band. As a solo artist, her songs are available on Spotify, YouTube, and her own website. As a result of her work, she has steadily become more popular in modern culture. LYNZI’s latest song, titled “be my valentine,” came out on February 11th; just in time for Valentine’s Day.
“be my valentine” has an easy-going melody, sounding like a slow ballad. This tempo suits well with the heartfelt, emotional lyrics. It is a song about wanting to be with someone, even though that might not be the best choice. LYNZI even expresses needing to fight deeply for that love, despite its terrible nature. With lyrics like “To my valentine, I wanna be your wrongest right. To my valentine, I wanna be your strongest fight. We’re so alive,“ she makes that need quite clear.
