RGM RATING (????????)

A reminder of good things yet to be lived in a pop song.

Sweden-based singer-songwriter, Kevin Faye, is so talented, at only 14 years old, he got a record deal with Sony BMG. Since then, he has gained over 16 million streams and has placed on a few top 50 music charts in over 15 countries. When Kevin went on a hiatus for a few years, he focused on developing his sound. However, he’s always left his work available on Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music. Kevin has returned to the music scene as an independent artist. His latest single is the pop hit, “Paris.”

According to Kevin Faye, “Paris” is a “pop song with a cheerful sound that happens to have a darker truth.” “Paris” revolves around growing up feeling incapable of fitting in; lyrics like “I’m going to Paris with you to get away from your parents and the truth / And all the things behind will fade away” remind us of this. Additionally, they tell us about everything we have yet to experience. After two years of COVID lockdowns, the song reminds us how amazing life can be in a Maroon 5-like way. Kevin’s vocals are similar to Adam’s, but he does have a style of his own. Clearly, Kevin’s time away revitalized him; let’s not give him a reason to leave again, though. So, stream “Paris” today to plan your own getaway.
