Listen To “Dopestalgia” By Db Bantino

Dopestalgia (Album)

Db Bantino

Db Bantino is a chameleon.

Db Bantino is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Washington DC. Personally, what I like about him is that he has a great ear for music. To be more specific, he’s really good at combining hella infectious melodies with raps that are both appealing and trill as hell. DB’s latest major release is Dopestalgia, a ten-track project that has a bunch of certified hits.

The first thing that will catch your attention about Dopestalgia is the assortment of sounds that the project offers. While surfing through it, you will hear explosive club bangers, catchy club bangers, commercial bangers, Afropop bangers, R&B bangers, and more. The second thing that will catch your attention is how Db Bantino effortlessly switches between the biggest playa, the cleverest baller, the slickest romantic, and the most successful trapper lyrically. He truly comes across as a successful bachelor; something every man who isn’t quite ready to get married should aspire to be.

My favorite songs from Dopestalgia are “Toni” (This song is a hit in every single way), “Monica” (I love how this song mixes a little bit of soulfulness with a little bit of grit), “Recognition” (I am always down with some Afropop s**t), “Trina” (The Trina sample with Db’s club-inspired lyrics is dope to hear), and “My First” (You have to love romantic bangers like this song). All in all, I highly recommend that you give this project a shot.
