Drake Announces “Fear of Missing Out” YouTube Premiere

Apparently, Drizzy isn’t done releasing music.

Drake’s Fear of Missing Out will premiere on September 15 at 9 p.m. ET, giving fans another mysterious event to place on their calendars.

It looks like Drake really is living that no-brakes life. After releasing a whopping three albums this year—ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, and HABIBTI—it seems like he could be preparing to drop even more music in less than two weeks.

Drake shared the news through a cryptic Instagram post featuring a poster with the words “FEAR OF MISSING OUT” displayed in large, bold letters. He added that the project will premiere on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET. However, he did not explain whether fans should expect another album, a single, a short film, or something completely different.

Personally, I say strike while the iron is hot. Drake currently has the year’s highest-selling hip-hop album and has reportedly been the most-streamed rapper for 18 consecutive months. Kawhi Leonard is also back on the Raptors, just like the good old days. That last part is not particularly relevant, but whatever—it still feels right.

My guess is that Fear of Missing Out will be the lead single for another Scary Hours. If he’s able to drop another project in general, you have to name the “Rapper of the Year” award after him.
