Push also confirmed that more Clipse music is coming after “Let God Sort Em Out.“
Pusha T has confirmed that he is working on new solo music with Pharrell Williams, and it sounds like fans could receive much more than one project. During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Push revealed that one album is already finished and another is currently being developed.
When DJ Envy asked whether Pharrell was involved, Pusha responded, “Yes, only Pharrell.” He also confirmed that more Clipse music is on the way, giving fans several reasons to pay attention to his next chapter.
What is seriously slept on is how impressive Pusha T’s catalog has become. He has several classics alongside Clipse, including the Grammy-winning Let God Sort Em Out. His solo résumé is just as strong. DAYTONA remains one of my favorite rap projects ever, while It’s Almost Dry served as a very good follow-up.
The most consistent part of Pusha’s albums has always been the production. Ye handled the sound of DAYTONA, while both Ye and Pharrell contributed heavily to It’s Almost Dry. Now, Push is returning exclusively to the producer responsible for much of his best work.
A full Pusha T album produced only by Pharrell should feel familiar without necessarily sounding repetitive. Based on what they accomplished together on Let God Sort Em Out, there is every reason to be excited about what they have prepared.
