Dirty Dancing
Kid Riz
A hypnotic R&B fusion with passion in every word.
Miami-Florida-based musical creative, Kid Riz, is a singer and songwriter who we have become very familiar with recently. Growing up in a musical family, the Montreal native’s love for music eventually inspired him to start creating his own tunes. The artist’s work is typically influenced by the positive and negative aspects of his own relationships; his songs connect with his listeners on a personal level. Kid Riz’s tunes are a stylish blend of R&B and hip-hop, blended with a dash of Afo-influenced sounds. His discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, and his own website. His most recent releases are “Therapy,” “Situations,” and “What’s the Difference.” Now, we’re taking a look at Riz’s “Dirty Dancing,” one of the six tracks on his latest EP.
“Dirty Dancing” features a blend of beats that always chooses to accompany romance, at least in this artist’s case. Lyrics like “Had to scoop her from the club, yeah like every night/ She my Bonnie, I’m her Clyde/She my ride or die” and “Shorty bad, yeah, she bad to the bone/Like Marvin Gaye, baby let’s go get it on” offers up a whirlwind of emotions. As usual, the artist reflects on his special someone, but this time, he isn’t mourning the loss of them; instead, he’s praising them as the individuals they are. You are certainly going to catch feelings from Kid Riz’s new track, though we can’t tell you who they’re for. So, stream Kid Riz’s “Dirty Dancing” to see if your partner is the one dirty dancing with you.
