Tee Grizzley

Tee Grizzley’s been telling more stories than Hubie Brown as of late.

Tee Grizzley is prepping to do something that hasn’t been done since the Slick Rick days: Drop an album full of stories. In the past month, he has told stories about a robber that got caught slipping, criminal brothers that turned on each other, and a teacher that was getting wooed by a couple of her students. In “Tez & Tone 1,” Tee tells the story of a recently released prisoner that returned to the streets to make some money.

Even though this story revolves around some serious street s**t, it has a colorful sound overall. Not only does Tee Grizzley bless us with smooth melodies, but he also does his work over a beat that you could definitely hopscotch to.
