Rating: 4 out of 5.ATL Jacob might be the best two-way player in the hip-hop game right now.
If you’ve been listening to the hottest hip-hop releases these past few years, you’ve heard of ATL Jacob. He’s produced tracks for artists such as Kodak Black, Nicki Minaj, Future, and more. That said, this past weekend, Jacob released a single he did all by his lonesome called “MF Problem.” Surprisingly, it features bars by only him.
As expected, “MF Problem” is laced with a hot-ass beat. It combines these gentle, soulful elements with these hard-hitting elements, resulting in something that gave me the vibes of excitingly taking off your church clothes after a boring service (Man, s**t got turned up directly after church was done, right?). There’s absolutely nothing boring about ATL Jacob’s verses. In them, he uses an animated/spirited style of rapping to speak on the s**t that motivates him, the opps he’s been lapping as of late, and his very impressive come-up. He also blesses us with a catchy hook that has a melody that will get stuck in your head instantly. All in all, for a so-called non-rapper, this s**t is flames.
ATL Jacob has to start rapping over some of the beats he’s been giving folks. Dude has ‘it.’
