G-Eazy Reps His Area In “All I Wanna Do”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I’m old enough to remember when G-Eazy was on top of the world. He was featured on just about everybody’s song, was dropping hit records, and was releasing platinum albums. I think s**t started to go left for him once he broke up with Halsey and made that putrid rock album. When it’s all said and done, through his highs and lows, Eazy has always been a great rapper, and he proves that his pengame is still as strong as ever in his latest single, “All I Wanna Do.”

In “All I Wanna Do,” G-Eazy emphasizes his loyalty to Oakland, asserting his status as a hometown legend. He pays homage to other icons from the city and expresses ongoing support for the Raiders, despite their relocation to Las Vegas.

Sounding cooler than he’s ever sounded, G-Eazy absolutely slides in this song. With the beat that powers “All I Wanna Do” sounding like some traditional Oakland s**t (It actually flips Saweetie’s “Tap In” beat), I guess he feels at home. Even the hook Eazy delivers sounds too cool to even complete itself.

Does G-Eazy have another strong run in him?
