HONORABLE MENTION. INVITATION
I think Tierra Whack is a GOAT when she combines a little bit of playfulness with seriousness; she does just that in “INVITATION.”
“INVITATION” isn’t supposed to be taken super seriously; sort of how you aren’t supposed to take any of Jordan Peele’s movies super seriously. The song is driven by this colorful beat that actually gives me NBA YoungBoy “Kacey Talk” vibes. Over it, Tierra Whack switches the tone in her voice randomly and raps with this animated, somewhat robotic style that will either make you nod your head or turn your Siri on. More than anything, I feel like this loosey-goosey track is fun to listen to.
5. SHOWER SONG
In the shower, people often believe they sound like Whitney Houston, but sometimes, they unwittingly sound more like IceJJ Fish.
Everybody sounds better in the shower, right? Tierra Whack thinks so. In “SHOWER SONG,” she pays homage to those individuals who have American Idol auditions while scrubbing their asses. Appropriately, her vocals sound terrible on the track, and the beat is equally ass. However, it’s her free-spirited vibe and truly carefree, relatable lyrics that strike a chord with me.
Why so serious?
4. DIFFICULT
We get some good vulnerability from Tierra Whack in this track.
While I’m not entirely enamored with Tierra Whack’s subdued and detached delivery for a significant portion of this track, I must admit that the hook she lays down is undeniably fantastic. Her brief, high-pitched vocals add a captivating layer to the song’s overall texture. Moreover, the track boasts motivational lyrics that will resonate with everyone and deliver a much-needed dose of encouragement.
Following “DIFFICULT” with “SHOWER SONG” was a very interesting business decision.
3. MOOVIES
Tierra Whack ain’t looking for Netflix and chill; she genuinely wants to experience a movie night at the dusty-ass multiplex down the street.
Tierra Whack’s vocal performance in “MOOVIES” is truly exceptional. She effortlessly hits every high note with precision and delivers one of the most captivating melodies of the year, all over this infectious, uptempo R&B beat that can even compel a thug to bust a move. But beyond the infectious groove, Tierra’s lyrics add depth to the track. She reminisces about simpler times, longing for a trip to the movies with her partner, complete with popcorn, a big drink, and a horror flick. It’s a refreshingly relatable sentiment in a world where simplicity is often overlooked.
2. ACCESSIBLE
Hold up, Tierra Whack has a SZA bag, too?
I prefer Tierra Whack when she’s rapping, but she is also an extremely solid singer. In “ACCESSIBLE,” she demonstrates her vocal skills. Set against a slightly unorthodox R&B beat, Tierra’s hypnotic vocals perfectly complement the lyrical theme of rejecting her partner for being unaware of their appeal to others. What I love is that she doesn’t even sound mad at the situation; she comes to the table with this “welp, I guess I gotta drop him” approach.
1. CHANEL PIT
Tierra Whack’s music won’t get much more commercial than this.
Who the hell said that Tierra Whack was boring? “Chanel Pit” is a fun-ass track! I’m f**k with the vibrant beat that drives the track, along with Tierra’s fast-paced flows and bold, swagger-filled lyrics. All in all, this is the ultimate anthem for anyone looking to feel cool and confident, regardless of gender.

RGM RATING
(B+)
After listening to this album, I owe Tierra Whack an apology. I had mistakenly pegged her as a rapper with a singular sound, but WORLD WIDE WHACK showcases her remarkable versatility. Throughout the project, she effortlessly navigates slow jams, hard-hitting rap tracks, playful tunes, and even commercial hip-hop. Here’s the kicker: Every song is undeniably good. There’s no beat that Tierra struggles with, and the confidence that she raps with is higher than the gas prices. At the same time, she finds ways to remain this relatable figure who is simply on a path to making her rap career a lucrative 9-5. I’m sorry, Tierra, I wasn’t familiar with your game. You are a f**king superstar!
