Gucci Mane Clowns Diddy In “TakeDat”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Beef is in the air right now, so I recommend you wear a gas mask. While everyone is familiar with Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud, there are also other beefs going on, like Chris Brown vs. Quavo, GloRilla vs. JT, and Biden vs. TikTok. Another beef that might be brewing is Gucci Mane vs. Diddy. Today, Gucci released a new semi-diss track called “TakeDat.”

In all honesty, everything Gucci Mane says in this track sounds like some tongue-in-cheek s**t. As a matter of fact, he starts the song off by saying he’s just messing around. That said, in “TakeDat,” using the notorious “No Diddy” phrase, Gucci comes for Diddy’s life in a clever way. He compares his lavish lifestyle to the Bad Boy mogul’s, bringing up his young Miami chick (a reference to Yung Miami), friends getting whacked (a reference to Biggie), and blowing up cars (a reference to Diddy getting Kid Cudi’s car blown up over Cassie). I think the song is just as catchy as it is gimmicky. I also think a lot of the s**t Gucci says will make you say, “Welp, he does have a point.”

Does anybody feel sorry for Diddy? Like, anybody?
