Trae The Truth & Ferg Link Up For “Rock Out”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Trae The Truth has left Ibiza and is back in the trenches.

Trae Tha Truth is one of the last triple OGs left in the game. While he may not have as many mainstream hits as those typically labeled as legends, he commands significant respect among his peers. In fact, J. Cole recently paid homage to him in the track “Trae Tha Truth In Ibiza” from his project Might Delete Later.

The good news is that Trae Tha Truth is still going strong. Today, a new collaboration single with Ferg, “Rock Out,” hit the net. It’s his second release this year, following “MADE IN TEXAS.”

The energy in “Rock Out” is impeccable. Backed by an uptempo, synth-heavy rock-trap beat, Trae Tha Truth and Ferg deliver braggadocious, hardcore playa, and certified street lyrics, letting the world know that GOD doesn’t make people like them anymore. As expected, Trae comes with raw energy, sounding like he laid his verse down while sitting in one of those massage chairs. Ferg, on the other hand, brings his usual hype, channeling his inner Sheck Wes on the hook and spitting with feverish flows in his verse. Overall, the track is pretty enjoyable.

Trae Tha Truth is one of the hardest hip-hop names ever, right?
