amilost Dazzles In “Bloom”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I loved sinking in this track’s quicksand.

amilost, a duo hailing from Norway and Scotland, crafts captivating music that embodies the dramatic essence of Scandinavian pop. Their deeply personal approach resonates well with music enthusiasts, offering a unique and engaging listening experience.

amilost has been receiving widespread acclaim for their recent releases. Tracks from their debut EP, Introspective, have landed on popular playlists like Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Pop and New Music Friday. Additionally, their debut single, “Pillowside,” was recognized on NRK P3, one of Norway’s top radio stations. Their newest single, “Bloom,” continues to showcase their satisfying musical evolution.

“Bloom” by amilost explores the bittersweet emotions of being single and the journey to rediscover oneself after leaving a toxic relationship. While the song begins with a somber tone, it blossoms into a vibrant composition featuring a pleasing drum pattern, lively tempo, unique bells, and more. As for Sigrid Zeiner, her vocals are intoxicating, liberating, and gorgeous. Overall, the track is wonderful.
