French Montana, Max B and Stove God Cooks Trade Hustler Tales on “Live and Die”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

French Montana, Max B, and Stove God Cooks make a hell of a team.

Do you know what I respect? How French Montana and Max B have stayed locked in since Max came home. They keep dropping music and popping up together like they’re making up for lost time. Keeping that momentum going, they’re preparing Coke Boys 7: All Dogs Go To Heaven. “Live and Die,” featuring Stove God Cooks, gives us a taste.

The production combines knock, soul, and cinematic flair. It sounds like some s**t that could soundtrack an old-school mob whacking. French sets the tone and shines brightest, delivering cold-ass bars alongside a highly infectious melody.

Max B is extremely solid, keeping his delivery direct and leaving the more ridiculous moments outside. Stove brings the animation, sounding like a hood cartoon villain. All three revisit their hustling days, presenting themselves as elite dealers with stories to tell.

As a major hip-hop junkie, this is exactly the type of track I f**k with.
