Kid Cudi Delivers “THE MOON MAN SURVIVES”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Kid Cudi’s soundtrack is coming soon.

On Kid Cudi’s debut album, he had a track called “Soundtrack 2 My Life,” where he opened up about the struggles he was facing at the time, like addiction and lost love. Since then, even more chaos has entered his life, including personal fallouts and the infamous incident with his car being blown up by The Didler. Given everything he’s been through, it’s fitting that Cudi is planning to release an actual soundtrack to his life soon. Recently, he dropped the single “THE MOON MAN SURVIVES” from this upcoming project, which is now available on streaming services.

In “THE MOON MAN SURVIVES,” Kid Cudi delves into the demons that haunt him and his struggle to navigate life despite their presence. He also pleads with God, questioning why happiness seems to elude him. What’s striking about the track is that Cudi doesn’t sound outright sad; instead, he conveys a sense of emotional numbness, as if he’s already surrendered to despair. His detached vocal delivery, combined with the cold, atmospheric production, creates a haunting soundscape that’s as intriguing as it is bleak.

Y’all said you wanted sad Kid Cudi, right? Well, here you go! (Honestly, I love this s**t)
