Lewis Fitzgerald’s New Single “Oh Mama” Out Now

“Oh Mama” is a feel-good anthem for those of us with relationship trauma.

London’s singer-songwriter, Lewis Fitzgerald, is a passionate young man driven by his love for music. His pop/R&B sound comes from the artists that inspired him to start his career, like Ed Sheeran and Post Malone.

Lewis became a known artist after posting covers online— one of which went viral and skyrocketed his popularity and reach. This pushed him to make his own music. Fast forward to 2024, Lewis Fitzgerald performed at The Great Escape Festival, headlined residencies in other countries, and released about 20 singles and one EP. 

His new song, “Oh Mama,” gives us a look into a girl whose past has given her trust issues, yet he admires her and wants to treat her right. Overall, the song gives us a story of the struggles and trauma we all go through and reminds us we’re still worth loving. This song combines soft, sentimental lyrics and a gentle, Afrobeat-inspired rhythm that creates a warm and familiar vibe, especially for listeners with Caribbean roots. Its upbeat energy and vibrant sound make it feel both nostalgic and refreshing, striking a balance between soothing melodies and a lively, danceable beat.
