TOP 5

5. Outside (Ft. GloTilla & Mello Buckzz)

“Outside” is strictly 4 the young mobsters of the world.

Outside” is the quintessential late-night club banger—the kind that comes on after midnight when the lights dim and the chairs are cleared away. In this gritty anthem, G-Herbo, GloRilla, and Mello Buckzz unapologetically hype up their killers, provoke beef, and dismiss the idea of settling down. G-Herbo delivers his bars with carefree energy, while Mello Buckzz and GloRilla bring a raw, no-nonsense intensity, sounding ready to take on all forms of smoke—yes, even carbon monoxide.

4. Any Other Way

Thugs need love, too!

“Any Other Way” sees G Herbo at his most introspective, offering a raw, heartfelt reflection on the brotherhood he shared with his homies from the streets. Through vivid storytelling, he paints a picture of loyalty forged in the chaos of sliding for each other and facing consequences that only deepened their connection. While Herbo’s emotional delivery deserves praise, the real standout here is the brilliant use of the “Can’t Get Enough” sample.

3. Letter to My Love

S**t, G Herbo talks about himself a lot in this track. Maybe he should call it “Letter to himself.”

G Herbo shows tons of vulnerability in “Letter to My Love.” Over this smooth, R&B-leaning beat that’s practically begging for a crooner, Herbo takes a rigid approach, rapping about the patience his partner needs to have for his growth, the complexities of his emotional baggage, and the moments of intimacy that keep their bond strong. While the heartfelt lyrics and soothing production are definite highlights, his tendency to drift off-beat slightly diminishes the song’s overall polish. Still, it’s a commendable effort that showcases his softer side.

2. Teflon

These days, so many people use the term “teflon” that it has lost some of its original magic.

G Herbo sounds mighty as hell in “Teflon.” Backed by a commanding, hard-hitting trap beat crafted by Wheezy, he delivers a series of boastful bars about his VIP status, flashy jewelry, and the fierce women he associates with. He also highlights the ruthless crew he runs with, so be careful stepping on his sneakers if you see him in the club. The song’s hook stands out and complements Herbo’s confidence, which is so intense even Russell Westbrook would take notice.

1. Lionhearted

Do real lions sound offbeat, also?

“Lionhearted” is a standout gem from this album, grabbing attention with its masterful production. The beat is a captivating blend of trap energy, haunting vocal samples, and dramatic jazz elements. Herbo steps up his game here, delivering his verses with sharp, start-and-stop flows while maintaining a steady rhythm when needed. Lyrically, he delves deep into his turbulent past, reflecting on how it shaped the cold-hearted persona he carries today. All in all, I think this track is pretty solid.

RGM RATING

(C-) (70)

Strictly 4 My Fans definitely showcases a different side of G Herbo’s artistry. It’s interesting to hear how his flow evolves or, in this case, switches up so dramatically from project to project. While some of his albums showcase a refined, Nas-like precision, this one leans into a rawer, more instinctual approach. It’s like he laid down these verses with a fierce energy that sometimes feels disconnected from the beat. That said, this project still does a good job of capturing the essence of his street experience and the harsh realities that come with it.

Kudos to the producers of Strictly 4 My Fans, who deserve all the praise for crafting a soundscape that balances soulful grit and dark trap vibes perfectly. The beats help to set the stage for Herbo’s relentless, “demonic” storytelling. While it may not be his most polished work, it’s undeniably authentic and speaks to the raw energy his fans love.
