Snoop Dogg Responds To Dave Blunts’ Criticism

Snoop Dogg took it easy on Blunts.

The standout story of the weekend was undoubtedly Dave Blunts’ performance during Juice WRLD Day, which sparked conversations across diverse communities—spanning race, political affiliations, and professions from athletes to musicians. The plus-sized performer took the stage equipped with an oxygen mask and seated on a couch. After his performance, he had to be transported offstage in a wheelchair. While the event generated widespread discussion, it was Snoop Dogg’s remarks about Blunts that caught attention and drew a sharp reaction from the artist himself.

On Instagram, Snoop Dogg made remarks about Dave Blunts that many interpreted as fat-shaming and insensitive. Dave Blunts addressed the comments publicly, prompting a follow-up response from Snoop.

I used to watch those 1000-lb shows on TLC frequently, so seeing Dave Blunts in his current state wasn’t entirely shocking to me. That said, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an artist perform while carrying such a significant amount of weight. Here’s the thing: Dave is bound to gain recognition and followers—both supportive and critical—so Snoop Dogg definitely won’t be the last celebrity to cross paths with him.

As for Snoop, he’s practically viewed as a comedian these days, so when he made jokes about Dave, I took them as lighthearted and not malicious. To me, this feels like a non-story. What’s more important is emphasizing that health is wealth. No matter the situation, taking care of yourself should always be a priority.
