5. fav girl
On any given day, “fav girl” can end up my favorite track from this album.
All you people that are impressed with LiAngelo Ball bending curves and s**t, sounding like a dude from the early 2000s, you should be just as impressed with what wolfjacejoeyy was able to do with “fav girl.” The track has this vintage R&B flair to it, boasting a herky-jerky sound that people loved back then, combined with the kind of lingo that bagged them back then. The only way to groove to this s**t is by rocking silk pants and oversized blazers.
4. late to the party
“late to the party” is the perfect tone-setting intro.
The standout feature of “late to the party” is its build-up—it stretches so long that the peak moment never quite arrives. wolfacejoeyy’s delivery on the track is fascinating; he bounces between sounding like a slimmer Cash Cobain and a livelier Drake. Lyrically, for those unfamiliar with his style (like Shaq), he makes it clear from the jump that he’s a smooth operator, juggling more women than Emmanuel Acho. What a playa.
3. number
And the award for “The Most Cash Cobain-Sounding Track” goes to “number!”
You know what? “remember me” might actually take the crown. But let’s talk about “number” for a second, because that track has a unique charm of its own.
The number one reason I dig “number” is its playful gimmick—anytime a song revolves around something relatable, like asking for someone’s number, it strikes a chord. It taps into a nostalgic vibe, reminding us of those club days when that was the ultimate icebreaker.
Beyond that, the song’s strong Cash Cobain-like flows (This is a theme) are undeniably appealing, the beat is smooth as hell, and wolfacejoeyy’s delivery is on another level.
2. nympho (Ft. BEAM)
OK, this dude put his foot in this track (Nymphos usually like when you put your foot into things).
If it’s range you’re after, wolfacejoeyy delivers it in spades on “Nympho”—and so does featured guest BEAM. The track is anchored by a hard-hitting, slow-burning instrumental that sets the perfect tone for their passionate performances.
Throughout the song, wolfacejoeyy and BEAM pour their hearts out, diving into steamy territory as they explore encounters with “freaks” who have unconventional and wild desires, from spit play to… Twizzlers in unexpected places.
“Nympho” is intoxicating and deeply engaging, effortlessly drawing you in with its dramatic energy and sultry vibes. It’s a standout moment that showcases just how dynamic wolfacejoeyy can be.
1. bad gyal
I nearly drowned in this track.
“bad gyal” is easily the best track I’ve heard this year. wolfacejoeyy’s delivery of his silky smooth vocals is nothing short of amazing. His lyrics hit hard with impactful and juicy themes, and his impression of PARTYNEXTDOOR is spot on. On top of that, the subtle moments where he incorporates his Jamaican accent add an extra layer of authenticity and flair. Wow, what a track!
SONG-BY-SONG RATING
RGM RATING
(84%)
There’s a lot to love about this album, and it all starts with wolfacejoeyy’s vocals—they’re simply exquisite. He effortlessly combines gentleness with a hip-hop edge, delivering performances that are way too captivating to ignore.
One of the most striking aspects of wolfacejoeyy’s artistry is his ability to morph into so many different sounds. Throughout the album, he channels influences like Cash Cobain, Drake, Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more. But before you rush to label him a copycat, here’s the good news: he nails these styles. His ability to adapt while maintaining quality is impressive.
Lyrically, wolfacejoeyy doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but there’s a certain charm in hearing him drop lines that feel nostalgic—like the ones we used back in the day to impress someone. His delivery is confident and slick, making those lines hit differently. Honestly, it makes me wish I was 20 again.
That said, I can’t help but feel that wolfacejoeyy is leagues ahead of the Cash Cobain-esque sound he leans on throughout the project. He has serious vocal range, a stunning voice, and an undeniable knack for crafting melodies that resonate. It’s time to let Cash do Cash while wolfacejoeyy carves out his own lane.
All in all, this album is strong enough to make you want to invest heavily in wolfacejoeyy’s future. The potential here is undeniable.
