Donald Trump has a lot of high-profile black friends.
On Monday, Martin Luther King Day, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States. Given the tumultuous nature of his tenure as the 45th president and the hectic pace of his campaign this year, it’s no surprise that he’s planning to make this event a grand spectacle. Today, a few details about his inauguration surfaced online, including the guest list.
Among the 240,000 people invited to attend the inauguration, notable figures from the hip-hop and sports worlds include Kodak Black, Rod Wave, Mike Tyson, Antonio Brown, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Nelly, and more. Just yesterday, three of those guys, Snoop, Ross, and Nelly, performed at his “Crypto Ball” in DC.
At this point, Donald Trump’s relationship with rappers shouldn’t come as a shock. In recent years, he has formed connections with several hip-hop artists, collaborating on tracks and even sharing the stage with them. Meanwhile, Mike Tyson and Antonio Brown have been vocal advocates for him over the past few months, with Brown even organizing voter events in Pittsburgh to rally support for Trump’s campaign.
I wonder if Donald Trump is bold enough to give a guy like Rick Ross a space in his cabinet. That would be crazy, right?
