Donald Trump has a few new A-list rappers on his side now.
Donald Trump is just two days away from being inaugurated for his second term, and naturally, the 45th and 47th president celebrated in style. Yesterday, he hosted the Crypto Ball in Washington, D.C., an extravagant event that drew a mix of high-profile celebrities. While names like Jason Aldean and Kid Rock were expected, a few rap stars on the lineup might raise some eyebrows.
Rick Ross, Nelly, and Snoop Dogg all graced the stage, performing hits in front of a sharply dressed crowd that may not have been the typical audience for tracks like “BMF.” But hey, when the Remy is in the system, as they say, anything can happen.
Throughout his campaign, Trump has made efforts to connect with prominent figures in hip-hop and streaming culture. Over the past few years, he’s received co-signs from artists like Lil Wayne, Fivio Foreign, Kodak Black, Sexyy Red, Sheff G, Benny The Butcher, and Lil Pump. Snoop Dogg’s involvement, however, is particularly surprising, given his history of sharp criticism toward Trump. But it seems the two have buried the hatchet.
In other interesting news: Did y’all hear Roseanne Barr’s pro-Donald Trump track? It’s very interesting.
