Fivio Foreign Drops “PlaqueBoyMax”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Fivio Foreign takes full advantage of his renewed 15 minutes of fame.

One of the strangest beefs of the year erupted when Fivio Foreign and Lil Tjay clashed with PlaqueBoyMax over being told not to smoke in his Airbnb. While PBM’s request seemed polite to some, others argued that he was trying to “press” the two New York rappers. The situation escalated quickly, with Tjay and Fivio firing back at PBM through a series of public jabs and, eventually, even diss tracks. Today, one of those diss tracks hit the web: “PlaqueBoyMax” by Fivio Foreign.

As gimmicky as “PlaqueBoyMax” might seem, I have to admit—it’s pretty damn good. The song is backed by a dreamy beat with subtle Jersey club vibes, and Fivio delivers bars about how lit he is, his viral moment, and his readiness to take on any smoke from streamers. His repetitive rapping style on the verses is surprisingly effective, and the chorus is undeniably catchy. Honestly, if this track makes it to streaming services, I’ll probably run it back a few times.

Rappers need to stop acting like they’re bigger than streamers. Times are changing, and the two worlds are more connected than ever. Embrace it!
