Kevin Gates Drops “Big Bruddah (Don’t Be Mad)”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

The world just feels empty when Kevin Gates isn’t releasing new music.

2025 has been full of devilish energy, and it’s about to get even darker—because Kevin Gates, one of the game’s biggest demons, is preparing to drop a brand-new album. If you recall, Gates released The Ceremony last January, and now, the first single from his upcoming project, “Big Bruddah (Don’t Be Mad),” has hit streaming services.

In this track, Kevin Gates embraces his signature raw and unfiltered persona, delivering lyrics about his extravagant lifestyle, street dealings, and unrestrained desires. Over a bass-heavy yet eerily smooth trap beat featuring infectious whistling, Gates gives listeners a grungy, mob-boss energy that feels both menacing and charismatic.

His upcoming album, I’m Him, is set to drop on March 19th, and while it remains to be seen who will feature on the project, one thing is for sure—Austin Reaves won’t be on it.
