Logic Returns to Form With Reflective, Soulful “Catch Me If You Can”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is the Logic that I know and semi-love.

What Logic has been doing lately should be applauded, at least the effort. He’s recently experimented with a few tracks that dip into Playboi Carti territory: trippy beats, minimal substance, and lyrics that lean more brain-dead than thought-provoking. And while stepping out of your comfort zone is admirable, the truth is… the music hasn’t been great.

Thankfully, Logic returns to familiar ground with his latest release, “Catch Me If You Can.”

The track is anchored by a smooth, old-school-inspired hip-hop beat that gives off strong “False Prophets” by J. Cole energy. Over this mellow backdrop, Logic delivers sly flows, sharp wordplay, and a cool, introspective demeanor. He touches on themes like depression, emotional battles, and choosing love over hate—topics that bring out the best in his lyrical ability.

If you’re a fan of vintage Lupe Fiasco, especially when it comes to the poetic chorus work, this track will hit the right notes. And honestly, if you’re just a fan of thoughtful, quality hip-hop, “Catch Me If You Can” should be on your radar.

Is Logic capable of being himself?
