This one was not on my bingo card.

Jessie Murph and Sexyy Red have joined forces for a surprising remix of Jessie’s song “Blue Strips,” and honestly, I wasn’t blown away. The original track already leans heavily into camp and sexually explicit lyrics, so when I saw that Sexyy Red—known for her bold and unapologetic style—was featured on a country-inspired remix, I was intrigued. The potential was there for a fun, genre-blending moment that could’ve taken the song to new heights.

Unfortunately, the remix lands in lukewarm territory. While it’s not outright bad, Sexyy Red’s feature doesn’t add much substance to the track. Her verse isn’t terrible, but it also doesn’t elevate the song in a memorable way. Instead, it feels like an awkward fit that never quite clicks.

In the end, “Blue Strips (Remix)” is more of a novelty listen than a playlist staple. It’s interesting enough to check out once, but probably not something you’ll have on repeat.

Give “Blue Strips (Remix)” by Jessie Murph featuring Sexyy Red a listen and decide for yourself.
