Tyler, The Creator’s “DON’T TAP THE GLASS” Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 197K Units

BIG Tyler has done it again.

Tyler, The Creator has officially scored another No. 1 album. His latest project, DON’T TAP THE GLASS, has formally debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart with 197,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, making it one of the strongest rap debuts of 2025. With this feat, Tyler becomes one of the few rappers to land a No. 1 album five years in a row.

The run began in 2021 with the Grammy-winning Call Me If You Get Lost, followed by a vinyl-exclusive surge in 2022. In 2023, he returned with The Estate Sale, a deluxe version packed with unreleased material. In 2024, Tyler switched gears sonically with CHROMAKOPIA, and now in 2025, DON’T TAP THE GLASS continues the streak, cementing his position as one of hip-hop’s most consistent visionaries.

This five-year streak is more than a flex—it’s history in the making. Tyler is now tied with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and Tupac with five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. He’s just one album behind legends like J. Cole, Nas, and Travis Scott, and trails only megastars like Eminem, Kanye West, Future, Drake, and Jay-Z—each of whom has notched 11 or more No. 1 albums.

With DON’T TAP THE GLASS, Tyler isn’t just riding momentum—he’s actively rewriting the rules of hip-hop stardom, showing that creativity, reinvention, and consistency can lead to both critical acclaim and commercial dominance.
