Kiki Rowe Opens Up on Love Imbalance in “Pieces Of Me”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Kiki Rowe captures the feeling of giving too much in love.

Kiki Rowe has been quietly carving out her lane as a true double threat. The Mississauga native blends sharp songwriting with silky vocals, drawing on a background that ranges from classical piano training to R&B and pop influences. She’s worked with heavy hitters like DJ Mustard and Nineteen85, but what really stands out is how personal her music feels when the spotlight is just on her.

That intimacy shows up all over “Pieces Of Me.” The track leans into lush R&B production that feels like something you can completely sink into. It has a smooth, steady pace, but there’s a richness in the soul that keeps it from ever feeling flat.

Vocally, Rowe keeps things controlled and chill, letting the instrumental guide her emotions while she slides effortlessly across the beat. Despite the tension, it’s really a pleasant listen.

Lyrically, “Pieces Of Me” taps into that all-too-familiar space of loving someone more than they love you back. Though the goal is to make things more even, it’s hard when things are so blurred between you and your partner.

By the end, you’re left with a track that feels soul-clenching, relatable, and dangerously easy to replay.
