Buddah Bless teams up with Kodak Black on “Owe Me,” a bass-heavy, flute-driven single that shines with production but suffers from uneven lyricism.
Buddah Bless has been steadily pushing out music under his own name, and his latest offering keeps the momentum going. After teaming up with BossMan Dlow, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean on “See The World,” the Atlanta producer is back with another big collaboration. This time, he enlists Kodak Black for a new single called “Owe Me.”
As expected, the best part of the track lies in the production. Buddah Bless brings his signature bounce, layering heavy bass with a piercing flute-driven melody that instantly grabs your attention. The beat has a hypnotic quality that feels both modern and timeless, reminding listeners why Buddah has been a go-to hitmaker in rap for years.
Kodak Black’s performance, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, he rides the beat with confidence, delivering his verses with a cadence that locks in perfectly with the instrumental. On the other hand, some of the lyrics feel questionable, ranging from threats toward his opps to repeatedly insisting a woman “owes” him some dome. The disjointed subject matter disrupts the track’s vibe, but overall, there’s still enough bounce and replay value to keep listeners coming back.
