This week has a good mix of old and new albums from Gunna, Drake, BigXthaPlug, and more.
TOP 5
5. Take Care – Drake (20K)

Drake’s Take Care from 2011 makes a surprising return to the charts, and I can’t help but wonder why. My guess? Listeners might be underwhelmed by his recent ICEMAN episode and are revisiting his older catalog for a proper fix. Whatever the reason, Take Care still stands as Drake’s best album to date—and honestly, it’s not even a close call.
Fun fact: There are two albums called “Take Care” in the top 15 of this list. The other one is by BigXthaPlug,
4. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U – Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR (22K)

I predicted $ome $exy $ongs 4 U would age like fine wine. What surprises me, though, is how much people initially slept on the album’s R&B cuts. Right now, “DIE TRYING” and “NOKIA” are dominating the streaming numbers, but “SOMEBODY LOVES ME” is steadily creeping up with over 100 million streams on Spotify. MAKE R&B GREAT AGAIN!
3. NBA YoungBoy – MASA (Make America Slime Again) (22K)

Something that really warmed my heart this week is seeing the outpouring of love for NBA YoungBoy, who’s currently touring multiple cities. The support isn’t just from fans—big-name artists and celebrities are showing up too, including Shaboozey, Kai Cenat (who was even spotted crying at a show), and Sexyy Redd. Thanks to these performances, it feels like the tour is boosting the success of MASA, which had several tracks charting this week.
2. BigxthaPlug – I Hope You’re Happy (30K)

BigXthaPlug holds the number-two spot for the second week in a row, and it’s easy to see why. Out of all the albums on this list, this is the one I’ve revisited the most. The replay value is enormous, with tracks that stay fresh after multiple listens. His messages dive into real relationship themes, and the fusion of hip-hop and country feels surprisingly seamless. This is another project I can easily see aging like fine wine.
1. The Last Wun – Gunna (32k)

I love that this album is still sitting at number one. I’m genuinely happy for Gunna, who has kept his head down and focused on making music, tuning out all the drama surrounding him and his former friend Young Thug. The album’s success proves that organic growth is still something listeners value. It was also cool to see Gunna featured so prominently in the VMAs coverage—he’s truly cemented himself as an A-lister.
