Mobb Deep’s “Infinite” brings gritty nostalgia and top-tier features back to the Billboard charts.
Mobb Deep’s Infinite has officially sold 12,000 units in its first week, debuting at #90 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart. For fans of 90s rap and raw lyricism, this marks a long-awaited comeback. It’s also their first chart appearance in over ten years, proving that the Queensbridge legends still hold a strong presence in today’s streaming era.
Produced by Havoc and The Alchemist, Infinite delivers a soundscape that’s both nostalgic and cinematic. The project features standout tracks like “Down For You” and “Taj Mahal” and includes an impressive guest list: Nas, Clipse, Jorja Smith, Ghostface Killah, H.E.R., and more.
The album is part of Nas and Mass Appeal’s ongoing series celebrating rap pioneers, bridging the old and new school of hip-hop. For context, Mobb Deep’s last album, The Infamous Mobb Deep (2014), sold 7,074 copies in its first week, while their biggest debut came with Amerikaz Nightmare (2004), which sold 109,000 units.
If you haven’t yet, give Infinite a spin. It’s a pretty good body of work.
