Kanye West’s Graduation Surpasses 8 Billion Streams on Spotify

This isn’t Kanye West’s best album, but it’s my favorite from him.

Kanye West’s Graduation has officially surpassed 8 billion streams on Spotify. Released back in 2007, this project continues to stand as a cultural and musical milestone, proving that great art never fades with time.

The album currently averages 4.4 million daily streams, an astounding feat for a record nearing its 20th anniversary. Graduation showcases Kanye at his most visionary—merging soul, synth-pop, and electronic elements into a forward-thinking sound that reshaped the genre’s boundaries.

The tracklist reads like a highlight reel of modern classics: “Good Life,” “Stronger,” “Flashing Lights,” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” all remain playlist staples. Three of these songs have each surpassed one billion streams, while “Homecoming” sits just shy at 940 million,

In a year where hip-hop has seen its fair share of slowdowns, revisiting Graduation feels both nostalgic and revitalizing. It’s a reminder of how groundbreaking Kanye’s artistry was—and still is. Honestly, with a catalog this timeless, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with pressing play on one of the best hip-hop albums ever made.
