ALBA Finds Safety Inside These “Four Walls”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

An introspective pop gem that vulnerably explores what it means to find comfort.

ALBA is a multi-talented artist with a distinct, emotionally charged sound that blends dreamy pop with raw introspection. Recently, the singer unveiled “Four Walls,” a beautifully delicate single that captures what it feels like to retreat inward when the outside world becomes too heavy.

On Instagram, ALBA shared the inspiration behind the track:

“I wrote a song last fall. It’s pretty much about only finding peace inside your own space, cuz everything else seems too overwhelming. And u try as much as u can to make that space feel pretty, without success. yet here u r still finding any excuse not to leave it because it’s the only safe space u know.”

The artist continued,

“This is def the most naked n vulnerable song I’ve released so far but I’m OK I promise. This is a piece of me, not all of me. And I’ve realized life kinda comes in waves and this happened to be one of them and as a songwriter, putting these little thoughts into lyrics when the waves hit is probably the only way I know how to try to heal something that feels broken.”

Musically, “Four Walls” is lush and hypnotic. With soft, soothing instrumentals and gentle beats, ALBA builds a soundscape that feels like drifting through a dream. The lyrics—“Just one more coat of paint / A try to make a change / To let the light in” and “An open wound’s an open door / I keep it close, I’ve heard before / Better safe than sorry”—paint a vivid portrait of vulnerability and the quiet comfort of isolation.

The result is a track that feels deeply personal yet universally resonant. Fueled by its ethereal vocals and poetic honesty, “Four Walls” reminds listeners of the beauty that can be found in stillness and the strength that comes from self-reflection.
