Despite only six tracks, ‘FEAR’ delivers raw emotion, standout guest features, and continues NF’s chart success.

NF is once again proving his staying power in the rap world. His new EP FEAR is projected to debut in the Top 5 of next week’s Billboard 200, with estimated first-week units of 70k.

According to HITSDD, this will mark the top debut of the week, despite being a shorter project compared to his past full-length albums.

The Tracks & Guest Appearances

Though FEAR only contains six songs, each track is packed with intensity and meaning. The title track “FEAR” serves as both the intro and the most-streamed song on the project, setting the tone with NF’s signature mix of vulnerability and cinematic vibes.

Another standout is “WHO I WAS” featuring mgk, which blends NF’s introspection with a guest verse that adds fresh energy to the EP. Other tracks continue NF’s tradition of exploring themes of love, identity, and perseverance, resonating deeply with fans who connect to his raw honesty.

Our personal favorite from the project is “HOME,” the second track from the album, which has NF really showcasing his underrated singing skills.

Comparing First-Week Sales

While FEAR is expected to move fewer units than NF’s previous albums, context matters. His 2023 release Hope debuted at No. 2 with 123,000 equivalent album units (including 80,500 pure sales). Before that, The Search in 2019 opened with 130,000 units, including 84,000 pure sales.

The lower projection for FEAR likely reflects its shorter length and surprise release strategy, but the fact that it’s still competing for a Top 5 spot shows NF’s loyal fanbase remains strong.
