A$AP Rocky Calls Drake’s Shots at Rihanna “Soft,” Addresses Ongoing Tension

A$AP Rocky is keeping it honest when it comes to his fractured relationship with Drake.

In a recent statement, A$AP Rocky opened up about where things stand between him and Drake, making it clear that while there’s no active beef, the friendship is long gone. According to Rocky, the tension stems from past personal issues — specifically involving women — and it’s something he has no interest in revisiting.

“This thing between us, it’s not real smoke, but I just don’t f*ck with him. We was once friends. I feel like it’s over females.”

Rocky went on to address Drake’s past lyrical shots aimed at Rihanna, calling the behavior “soft” and unnecessary — especially at this stage in life. From his perspective, growth should come with age, and lingering jabs toward a woman don’t reflect maturity.

“At some certain point, when everybody getting older, you supposed to be moving on. For you to still be picking at a female and all that, that’s soft to me.”

Honestly? It’s hard not to see his point. Artists evolve, priorities shift, and respect should come with that evolution — especially when it comes to women who are no longer part of the situation. Rocky’s stance feels less like posturing and more like drawing a firm boundary.

While fans will always speculate about tension between the two artists, this moment makes one thing clear: A$AP Rocky has moved on, and he’s focused on growth, family, and the chapter he’s currently in.
