Travis Scott Explains Why He Doesn’t Let His Kids Use AI

In a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, Travis Scott is choosing a more hands-on approach when it comes to raising his kids.

Travis Scott recently shared why he doesn’t allow his children to use AI, offering a perspective that’s sparked conversation online. According to the rapper, introducing AI too early could limit how kids develop critical thinking skills and fully understand the fundamentals of learning.

“My kids don’t have AI. Having AI right now will compress their ability for their brain to maximize. So they got to learn the physical and the actual way of learning so then they know how to actually use AI to their best ability, because if it’s doing everything for you, how do you even know what’s right or wrong?”

It’s a thoughtful take — especially at a time when AI tools are becoming more accessible and deeply embedded in everyday life. While many see AI as a shortcut or a productivity boost, Travis is emphasizing the importance of building a strong foundation first. In his view, understanding how to think, learn, and problem-solve without assistance is essential before relying on technology to enhance those skills.

Opinions on AI are split, and this moment highlights that divide perfectly. Some people fully embrace it, while others remain cautious about its long-term effects, especially on younger generations. Travis’ stance isn’t anti-technology — it’s about timing and balance.

Whether you agree or not, it’s clear that his decision comes from a place of intention. And honestly? That level of thoughtfulness deserves respect.
