Kanye West Says No One Is Beating Him In A Verzuz

Honestly, I miss this cocky version of Ye.

Kanye West’s recent run has the energy of someone who knows exactly who he is and isn’t interested in debating it. During a stage moment with Deon Cole, he was asked the obvious question: could anyone beat him in a Verzuz battle? His answer, “no,” didn’t feel like a joke. It landed like a statement carved in stone.

That boldness hits differently when you look at what he’s been doing lately. After dropping BULLY, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, Kanye West followed it up with a massive showing at SoFi Stadium, reportedly pulling in $33 million across two nights.

Of course, the turbulence hasn’t disappeared. His removal from the Wireless Festival after sponsorship backlash proves controversy still shadows him. But even that hasn’t slowed the machine.

So naturally, the Verzuz question lingers. Drake feels like the most realistic challenger, given his hit-making consistency and emotional range. Jay-Z and Future enter the conversation too, though each comes with caveats.

More than anything, this stretch feels like a recalibration. Ye sounds centered, still unapologetically confident, but sharper. And if you’ve been riding with him, this version probably feels like a win.
