Drake Finally Announces “ICEMAN” Release Date After Year-Long Tease

Drake finally gave fans the date they wanted.

The waiting game is over. Drake has officially announced that ICEMAN will arrive on May 15, ending one of the more drawn-out and oddly entertaining album rollouts in recent memory. The release date was discovered by popular streamer Kishka.

The journey started nearly a year ago, when the first single from the project, “What Did I Miss?,” was released on July 5. Since then, fans have been stuck in teaser purgatory. Drake released ICEMAN episodes, followed by singles like “WHICH ONE” featuring Central Cee and “DOGHOUSE” with Julia Wolf and Yeat. Every few weeks, someone online swore the album was dropping “this Friday.” Every few weeks, nothing happened.

People like Akademiks and Mal kept the hype engine humming, while fake release dates from self-appointed insiders added confusion. Drake, of course, added fuel whenever he felt like it through cryptic posts and vague promises.

Then came the final boss stage of the rollout. Explosions in viral clips. Instagram hints saying the album was finished. And most memorably, a giant block of ice concealing the release date. It was theatrical nonsense, but it kept everyone talking.

Now comes the real question: what does ICEMAN sound like? Drake has pressure on him this time. Fans want sharp raps, memorable hooks, and something that feels necessary.

The circus is over. The music is next.
