“Kehlani” looks like her biggest release yet.
Kehlani is reportedly slated to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with her new self-titled project, Kehlani, according to HITS Daily Double. If that holds, this will be one of the biggest moments of her career. And honestly, it makes sense.
Kehlani entered this era with real momentum thanks to “Folded,” a major single that won a Grammy and sparked multiple remixes. The song helped remind people that she can still make records that connect on both commercial and emotional levels.
Then there is the title. Artists usually do not name an album after themselves unless it means something. A self-titled project often signals reinvention, vulnerability, or a statement piece. Translation: she likely took this one personally.
The guest list is loaded, too. Lil Wayne, Bryson Tiller, Clipse, Brandy, Missy Elliott, Leon Thomas, Usher, and Big Sean all appear.
For perspective, Crash debuted with just 19,668 units in 2024. So yes, this would be a huge leap.
Folks need to put more respect on Kehlani’s name. If you don’t have any more in your pantry, take your ass to Costco and purchase some more so you can put it on her name.
