NAV and Quavo Turn the Bass Loose on “MUTT”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

This is unquestionably the second-best track called “MUTT” that I’ve ever heard.

I’m not sure how many people realize it, but NAV seems poised to release a new album very soon. Love him or hate him, he’s one of those hip-hop artists whose album drops always create noise. To build anticipation for the upcoming project, NAV has returned with a new track titled MUTT featuring Quavo.

“MUTT” runs on one of those room-rattling beats that can trigger an immediate stank face while the room shakes from too many shots. NAV and Quavo trade verses on some reckless s**t, boasting about their money, the JP Morgan-like women in their orbit, and the shooters they have on their payroll.

What makes the track interesting is that both artists often lean melodic, but this time they rap with extra grit and edge. The song is short, skips a traditional chorus, and feels engineered to get listeners instantly hyped.

Now that there’s a bunch of AI songs out in the world, NAV’s voice doesn’t sound as robotic anymore.
