Ariana Grande’s consistency remains one of pop music’s greatest strengths.
Ariana Grande’s latest era is off to a massive start. “hate that i made you love me” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the pop superstar her tenth career chart-topper.
The new single replaces Drake’s “Janice STFU” at the summit and further strengthens Ariana’s position as one of the most successful artists of the streaming era.
The milestone carries significant historical weight. Grande now has ten No. 1 hits and ties Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 debuts by a female artist in Hot 100 history. She also becomes the first act ever to see the lead single from each of her first eight albums debut within the chart’s top 10.
Those achievements add to an already remarkable list of chart victories that includes “thank u, next,” “7 rings,” “positions,” “Save Your Tears,” and “we can’t be friends (wait for your love).”
The timing is perfect considering “hate that i made you love me” serves as the lead single for Petal, Ariana’s upcoming album due on July 31.
Another interesting note: 2026 has already produced eleven different No. 1 singles on the Hot 100, surpassing the total from all of 2025 despite nearly half the year still remaining.
Ariana Grande’s latest No. 1 isn’t just another hit. It’s another reminder of how rare her level of consistency truly is.
