New York Knicks superfan, Taylor Swift, keeps breaking records.
If there was any doubt about Taylor Swift’s streaming dominance, it can probably be put to rest now.
THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT has officially surpassed 10 billion streams on Spotify, adding yet another historic accomplishment to Swift’s resume. More importantly, the milestone makes her the first artist ever to have six different studio albums cross the 10 billion-stream threshold.
That’s a ridiculous achievement when you consider how difficult it is for even one album to reach that territory.
The impressive part isn’t just the total streams. It’s the consistency. Every song on THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT has accumulated at least 100 million streams, showing that listeners aren’t simply replaying one or two hits. They’re consuming the album from front to back.
“The Fate of Ophelia” has emerged as the project’s biggest juggernaut, surpassing 1.4 billion streams. Meanwhile, “Opalite,” one of the album’s lower-performing tracks, still boasts over 700 million streams. Most artists would gladly take those numbers for their biggest hit.
What’s becoming increasingly clear is that Swift’s audience isn’t shrinking. If anything, it’s continuing to expand. Following the release of The Life of a Showgirl last year, her momentum remains as strong as ever.
Ten billion streams is a massive accomplishment. Six albums with ten billion streams? That’s a category occupied by exactly one person.
