Tierra Whack turns 96 seconds into a memorable display of confidence and focus.
I can’t believe we’re getting new albums from both Rapsody and Tierra Whack.
Ahead of the release of Whack’s Museum this Friday, Tierra Whack decided to hold fans over with her latest single, “TOTEM.” Clocking in at just 96 seconds, the track proves she doesn’t need much time to make an impact.
Built around bass-heavy, hard-hitting production that feels designed to mush speakers like Wemby mushed Jalen Brunson in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, “TOTEM” finds Tierra rapping about getting what she wants, moving with purpose, and staying completely locked in on her goals.
What’s most impressive is the way she delivers her bars. Despite the competitive nature of the lyrics, she sounds calm, cool, and unbothered, almost as if she’s casually clipping her fingernails while rapping. The stripped-down production complements her style perfectly, giving listeners a clear view of the clever bars and personality that have made her one of hip-hop’s most unique artists.
I don’t care who she goes against; I have Tierra in 5.
