Kid Rock reportedly has two songs coming and enough potential comment-section arguments to fill an album.

Kid Rock might have one of the more interesting release days coming up.

According to the circulating announcement, he’s preparing to release “7 Sins” with Lil Wayne and “Heal My Faith” with on October 17. “7 Sins” reportedly featured Eminem at an earlier stage before Wayne replaced him, while Em appears on the other track.

The Wayne pairing doesn’t surprise me all that much. Wayne often seems to operate in his own world, so hearing him alongside Kid Rock feels like something he would do without overthinking the conversation around it.

Eminem is where things get interesting.

Em has publicly supported Democratic candidates, including appearing at a 2024 Kamala Harris campaign rally in Detroit, where he introduced Barack Obama. Kid Rock, meanwhile, has made his support for Donald Trump and MAGA a major part of his public identity. Their political differences make the reported collaboration a conversation starter before anybody has heard a note.

Does that mean somebody switched sides? A song together wouldn’t establish that. It could simply mean two artists are willing to work together despite disagreeing politically.

Still, you know the internet isn’t going to leave it at that. If both releases arrive as announced, October 17 should give listeners plenty to discuss—hopefully including whether the music is actually good.
