J. Cole’s chart legacy continues to grow beyond The Fall-Off’s 18-week run.
J. Cole’s The Fall-Off has officially exited the Billboard 200 after spending 18 weeks on the chart, marking a shorter run than some of the biggest albums in his career.
Although the project created a major moment upon release, its chart longevity does not compare to the historic staying power of several previous J. Cole albums. Looking through his catalog, the contrast is obvious: some of his projects have remained consistent fixtures on the Billboard 200 for years.
At No. 5, The Fall-Off currently stands with 18 weeks on the chart. While the album added another major release to Cole’s discography, it falls behind Cole World: The Sideline Story, which has spent over 120 weeks on the Billboard 200.
His 2018 album KOD continues to show impressive durability with more than 170 weeks on the chart, while 4 Your Eyez Only has developed an even bigger legacy with over 200 weeks of chart presence.
Sitting comfortably at No. 1 is 2014 Forest Hills Drive, which remains one of the most successful and influential albums of Cole’s career. With over 630 weeks on the Billboard 200, the album has become a defining hip-hop classic and continues to attract listeners nearly a decade after its release.
While The Fall-Off had a shorter chart run compared to Cole’s other albums, it adds another chapter to the career of one of rap’s most consistent artists. His catalog proves longevity is its own achievement, and projects like 2014 Forest Hills Drive continue to set an impossible standard.
