I really wonder what Tee Grizzley’s day-to-day looks like…
Tee Grizzley might be the Christopher Nolan of hip-hop when it comes to sequels. The Detroit rapper has built a reputation for revisiting his stories, and every time he does, we all know they’re getting another chapter from one of rap’s most recognizable storytellers. This time, he returns with “No Effort 2.”
The first thing you notice is the production. The beat hits harder than prime Ed Reed, giving Tee the perfect environment to unleash his aggressive delivery.
As expected, he wastes no time getting into his world. He talks about chasing money, calling out people who are moving backward, flexing the lifestyle he’s earned, and reminding everyone that he’s still someone you don’t want to f**k with. His flow remains steady, his confidence is on an obnoxious level, and his storytelling ability continues to be his biggest weapon.
Does “No Effort 2” reinvent the wheel for Tee Grizzley? Hell no. It sounds just like the other 100 tracks you’ve heard from him. However, it’s one of those songs you throw on because you know it’ll turn up your stale-ass Tuesday.

Quincy is the creator of Ratings Game Music. He loves writing about music, taking long walks on beaches, and spaghetti that fights him back.
